Products created did not only include those made of Argali Paper from Borong-Polok Paper Making Unit, but also two other SMU student-led-and-organised community engagement/social enterprise projects such as an ecotourism project in Konleng Phe, a fishing village in Cambodia; an economic self-reliance enterprise for the urban poor in Jakarta,Indonesia. Therefore the invited artists also used Plastic as well as Indonesian Batik in their creations , to represent the respective projects, with most of the proceeds from the sale channelled towards the three SMU projects for their on-going efforts at building a sustainable social enterprise for the local communities.
Try to spot products created by our Team Vidyalay artists, Betty Susiarjo, Ashley Yeo, Michy Witchy and Weixin Chong in the exhibition, as they worked with both the Argali paper as well as Batik materials.
